COMSATS rented the parking lot from its owner but as the prices of lands increased in the area he asked COMSATS’s management to leave the area of the parking lot. Comsats refused and got stay . Later the owner made it to the court . The court decided in favour of the owner and canceled stay ordering Comsats to leave the land as soon as possible. After the court’s verdict , police pulled out then steel sheds for cars.
COMSATS parking land has been owned by Mr Hanif Abbasi, as the sources say it has been destroyed by Him by digging in the parking by crane and all the shades have been pulled off. This dispute of parking is not new for COMSATS nor the COMSIANS, it is since years.
According to SHO Comsats received funds from Ministry of Science and Technology for the encroachments but yet fail to save 40 kanals of its own land because failed to raise boundaries.
COMSATS should rent parking or should go ahead for parking plaza inside the campus.
After this news student has been commenting & demanding parking for the safety of their cars and bikes, as it will be very difficult for students to get into the campus and park their vehicles. We Pro Student team also request to the management to provide the parking. Thanks.
